Support for
Parents

It’s hard to lead the way when you feel lost.

Supporting a child’s nutrition starts with the parent. By the time someone becomes a parent, they’ve already built a longstanding relationship with food (for better or worse). Those experiences shape food beliefs and values, and they inevitably influence how feeding looks at home. Just as you’re asked to put on your own oxygen mask first on an airplane, the same idea applies to nutrition. When a parent is working toward a more peaceful relationship with food, it becomes much easier to model and support that same relationship for their child.

How I Can Help

I offer one-on-one counseling for parents who want to build a positive relationship with food and feel more confident leading at home.
Sessions often include working on:

Intuitive eating and flexible, balanced nourishment

Positive body image

Regular eating patterns that support appetite, energy, and mood

Health and wellness support that is positive, effective, and sustainable

Bridging differences in food beliefs and values between partners

How Sessions Work

During an initial consultation, we take time to understand your full nutrition picture and relationship with food. We’ll review relevant medical history, your eating patterns and routines, past dieting or food rules, body image influences, and the challenges you’re currently navigating. We’ll also clarify your goals—whether that’s more consistent nourishment, less guilt and second-guessing, improved energy, or a more peaceful approach to eating. This session sets the foundation for ongoing support and helps ensure we’re working toward progress that feels meaningful, realistic, and sustainable.

Follow-up sessions are a space for continued guidance, problem-solving, and encouragement. They give us time to check in, celebrate wins, and work through any challenges that have come up. We continue to make adjustments as needs evolve.
